This Friday, we will be conducting a Halloween party at the Armoury organized by cadets and staff from various local units.  There is an entry fee of $5 or bring a non-perishable food item and reduce the fee to $2.  Dress will be costumes with no mask or any type of weapons, toy or otherwise, such as swords, guns, etc.

Cadets wishing to participate in their school Remembrance Day ceremonies must email me with their request to participate and include the school and date of the ceremony. Only cadets who have been granted authorization by me or Capt. Brunelle may wear their uniform and participate. Uniform inspections will be completed for those cadets on 6 November.  Uniforms not up to standard will not be granted authorization.

This weekend we will be continuing most of our Saturday activities open to all cadets interested.  See the list below for those activities and times.

Capt. Diotte has asked that cadets return the Annual cadet information update (Annual Validation).  This is only for those returning cadets and not for those who joined us this training year. Please note that failure to return these will result in cadets not being permitted to attend any activities until it is returned. The deadline to return is 13 Nov.

Reminder to parents/guardians to please arrive on time to pick up your cadet after training and weekend activities.  Staff cannot leave until all cadets have been picked up and have been waiting, in some cases, in excess of 30 minutes after the activity has ended.

As our squadron is at or near capacity, with others waiting to join at various times throughout the year, we have decided to implement an attendance policy with a goal that the cadets who wish to be active with the squadron will be able to do so. With that said, any cadet missing 4 consecutive mandatory training nights WITHOUT prior written notification to squadron staff will be removed to make room for cadets waiting to join. To avoid this from happening to your Cadet, you must email staff in advance if your cadet will be absent from training.

For the safety of the cadets, please do not drop them off and drive away. Please ensure that they can actually get inside the building first. That way, we do not have cadets standing outside, in the weather, unsupervised. With regard to safety, I ask that NO vehicle drop-off or pick-up happen in the armoury parking lot. Please use Carleton St, in front of the library, for all drop off/pick up. Cadets will enter & exit the building via the side door on Carleton St.
