Activities
Drill
Drill is an activity common to all elements in the Cadet Program where cadets learn CAF-style drill. This involves following drill commands and learning how to march, salute, and more. Cadets can participate in our competitive drill team where we compete against other cadet squadrons/corps.
Band
Band is an activity common to all elements in the Cadet Program where cadets can learn how to play an instrument and be a part of our 333 marching band. Instruments are available for cadets to loan if they do not have one.
Marksmanship
Marksmanship is an activity common to all elements in the Cadet Program where cadets learn safe-handling procedures, marksmanship skills, and range safety using the Daisy 853C Air Rifle. Cadets can be selected to compete on our markmanship team.
Flight Simulator
Flight simulator is an activity in which we provide cadets the opportunity to use flight simulator equipment and software. Cadets can learn the basics of aviation by flying planes, helicopters, and glider using our sim software.
Highland Guard
Our 333 Highland Guard is a proud tradition our squadron carries in which cadets learn rifle drill and rifle drill routines. Cadets selected to participate as one of our guard team members will be taught how to wear an RCAF patterned kilt.
Orienteering
Orienteering can be described as adventure running. The goal of an orienteer is to select the fastest route between a series of control points in the terrain using your map and compass. Orienteering meets are a scored event where the orienteer is faced with a fixed time limit.
Biathlon
Biathlon is an activity common to all elements in the Cadet Program where cadets participate in running/cross-country skiing and marksmanship. Biathlon promotes physical fitness and cadets who participate can be selected to compete at cadet events.
Ground School
Ground school is an activity in which cadets recieve lessons in the basics of aviation. This activity is meant to prepare cadets to apply for a glider or power pilot scholarship .
Effective Speaking
Effective speaking is an activity common to all elements in the Cadet Program where cadets learn how to prepare and present speeches. This activity provides cadets with writing and public speaking skills that will empower them throughout their lifetime.
